Director & Founder of Smooth Sailing Finance Consulting

I have been in the banking & finance industry since 2002, working for a range of lenders both major banks and smaller lenders. Since becoming a finance broker in 2017, I have enjoyed working for clients instead of banks. Rather than simply selling the only available products through one bank, I can provide tailored choices that meet the clients’ specific needs and genuinely add value to their lives.

As a finance consultant, I take my time in getting to know every client thoroughly and become a trusted partner in their goals and plans. My service doesn’t end once your loan has been settled – it is a partnership for the future where we work together to achieve financial goals. I understand that everybody is busy with life which is why I will always work around your life to make it easier to get your finance sorted – whether that is meeting after hours or weekends, zoom calls and emails, I will find a way to make it work for you.

I also develop good working relationships with other services in the industry including accountants, conveyancers and real estate agents which helps to make the process of buying a property seamless through effective communication with these businesses. With around 95% of my business coming from referrals by existing clients and industry partners, it is a testament to the dedication to exceptional service I provide. Some clients have even been with me since my early banking days!

The technical stuff – I have tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce and agribusiness as well as holding a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking. I am a full member of the industry’s leading governing body, the FBAA (The Finance Brokers Association of Australia), as well as a member of the disputes resolution authority, ACFA (Australian Financial Complaints Authority).  I am also a qualified JP in QLD.

The fun stuff – outside of work you will find me exploring the beautiful Whitsundays on my sailboat Callista or snuggled up on the lounge with a good movie and my 4 little cheeky pug x dogs!
